Okanagan Business Referral Group ( OBR ) is a Kelowna-based business networking organization which meets every Wednesday morning for breakfast between 7:00am and 8:30am, from September to June. The 2011 fiscal year goes from September 15th, 2011 to June 27th, 2012.

Our Okanagan Business Referral Group was founded over 15 years ago by dedicated Kelowna business men and women who realized the power of networking. Our members are dedicated business professionals who guarantee their products and services and to whom the rest of the group are always looking to send referrals.

Because of our structure's exclusive nature where only one representative of each business sector can be a member at the same time, there have been other independent OBR groups created over the years, but our OBR "chapter" has a reputation of being one of the most effective networking groups in Kelowna.

On most meeting days, we listen to a speaker for a 15-minute period. The weekly speaker is usually a member of our referral networking group, who is then afforded the opportunity of sharing details about themselves and their business to the other members and guests who are present. The occasional exception to that is an outside speaker who is invited to address the group, or a general "round-table" discussion on various topics which would be of interest to the OBR members and their guests.

In addition, all members and guests present during the weekly breakfast meeting are given the chance to present a one-minute "infomercial" about their own business.
